For families who know these years go fast. I photograph real life in your home or outdoors at your pace.

The first weeks with a new baby. The age your kids are right now, the age you keep saying you don’t want to forget. I photograph families at home or outdoors, in the middle of their normal lives. No studio and no props or backdrops. And definitely no asking anyone to sit still!

I’m a mama of three. I know how a toddler looks right before they’re done. I know when your baby needs to take a break to be fed. I don’t need your house to be tidy or your children to cooperate. I just need you to let me in and I’ll handle everything from there.

Your space and your pace

Newborns: In your home and in your own time. My photoshoot sessions follow your baby’s lead with no rushing and no pressure. Just the quiet reality of those first weeks, documented properly.

Families: At home or somewhere that means something to you, and best of all your children don’t need to perform. The great images always happen in the gaps between the posed ones, and that’s exactly where I’m looking.

Why choose me?

Let me tell you what I believe. Most people think they need the right house and the perfect outfits. But you don’t. My clients are more beautiful as they actually are than they realise, and that is what I am trying to show them. This is real photography for you, and you as you really are.

When your gallery arrives, every single image in it has been personally edited by me. That is not as standard as you might think.

I offer a fully guided service from first message to finished product. Fine-art albums and custom framed prints, designed with you in mind and built to last. These are actual objects your family will keep for years.

“"Absolutely loved working with Aoife for our newborn shoot — we couldn’t be happier with the experience or the photos. From the very start, she was warm, calm, and incredibly patient, which made the whole session feel relaxed and stress-free (a huge gift with a newborn!). She handled our baby with such care and confidence, and nothing ever felt rushed. The photos themselves are just stunning — beautifully lit, timeless, and full of genuine emotion. Aoife has an amazing eye for the little details and somehow captured moments we’ll treasure forever. We’re so grateful we chose her and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, kind, and professional newborn photographer. Truly exceptional from start to finish.”

“We had a brilliant experience with Aoife - she met us on Killiney hill for a family photoshoot (myself, my husband our 2 children 1yr and 3yr and our dog) , she immediately made us feel comfortable and won the trust of my daughter which isn't easy, we could tell she had children herself! We absolutely love the photos she took of us all and felt she really captured us as a family and our love for the outdoors. I would absolutely recommend Aoife 😊”

“We surprised our parents with a family photoshoot for their golden wedding anniversary, and Aoife was just amazing to work with. She was so easy-going and made everyone feel completely comfortable, especially with the kids. Nothing felt staged or forced – the whole shoot was natural, relaxed, and personal, which made it such a special experience for our family. We were so glad we chose Aoife to capture this milestone! And the photos are simply the best 🤩❤️ Thank you for an unforgettable morning, where we created even more memories together without even realising it.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every single time someone asks me this I want to reassure them that yes, it will. I have worked in small apartments, busy family homes, rooms with one small north facing window and everything in between. I find the light when I arrive and I work with what's there. You don't need a perfect huge house to have a photoshoot at home.

  • I photograph newborns from a few days old right up to twelve weeks. Each age is different and each has its own magic. If you think you have missed the window, you almost certainly haven't. I also cover a lot of baby sessions when they are 3-6 months old and this is a super cute age to take photographs.

  • This is fine. We’ll pause, you’ll feed, we’ll walk around the kitchen if that's what's needed. I build time into every session specifically for this reason. Some of my favourite images come from the unsettled moments, think pictures of parents rocking and comforting their baby. That is real and it is worth capturing. Do not stress about having your beautiful baby perfectly settled and fed before I come, we will still get great photos even if it does not all go to plan.

  • For newborns I would encourage you to get in touch before the baby arrives so we can pencil in a date for those first few weeks. For family sessions summer weekends book up quickly so a few weeks or months notice is ideal. That said I do sometimes have last minute availability so it is always worth getting in touch. I usually take newborn sessions midweek, so its often possible to find availability even if you have left it a little late to organise.

  • Kids and toddlers who are told to sit still and smile make for terrible photographs. I give them something to do instead…run to that tree, or show me how fast you can go. Kids who are moving and playing and genuinely having fun look a thousand times better than kids performing for a camera.

  • Galleries are typically delivered within two to three weeks of your session, or from when you have picked your favourites. You will receive a link to a private online gallery where you can download, share and browse everything.
