The age your kids are right now is the age you keep saying you don't want to forget. I photograph families in the middle of their actual lives- at home, at a park, at a place that means something to you. Not a studio version of your family, your real one.
I'm Aoife, a documentary family photographer based in Dublin. My approach is simple: I don't pose you, I don't ask anyone to sit still, and I don't direct your children. I follow your family's lead, work with the energy in the room, and find the frames that are already there. The best images almost always happen in the gaps between the posed ones and that's exactly where I'm looking.
As a mother of three, I know what a child's mood shift looks like at thirty seconds' notice. I know the face a toddler makes right before they're done. I don't need your house to be tidy or your children to cooperate. I just need you to let me in and I'll handle everything from there.
How a family session works
Before your session we'll connect briefly over email to sort location, timing, and wardrobe. Sessions are typically one to one and a half hours, either at home or at an outdoor location that suits your family. I have favourite spots across Dublin but I'm always open to somewhere new and personal to you. On the day, your only job is to show up and be yourselves. I'll work quietly around you…photographing the chaos, the cuddles, the two-year-old who wouldn't cooperate, and the moment they finally did. All of it.
Family photography packages
Sessions start at €450 for a digital gallery of 20 images. The Heirloom Collection at €650 is the most popular choice - a full gallery of 40+ images plus a framed fine-art print ready to hang. The Legacy Collection at €950 adds a luxury handmade album. For returning families, The Seasonal Mini at €250 offers a quick 20-minute update session at a curated Dublin location on selected dates throughout the year.

Covering Dublin and surrounding counties
I'm based in Terenure and cover all areas of Dublin — South Dublin, North Dublin, and the city centre. Popular locations include Marlay Park, Phoenix Park, Rathfarnham, Killiney, Howth, and anywhere that means something to your family. I also travel to Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, and Louth. Travel fees may apply outside the Dublin region.
