Weather Flexibility and Rescheduling Options for your Photoshoot
Living in Ireland means we can never fully predict the weather. A sunny morning can quickly turn into a drizzly afternoon, and vice versa. When it comes to your photoshoot, I know how much planning and excitement goes into the day, so I want to reassure you that we have a plan in case everything doesn’t go to plan.
Light Showers or Passing Rain
For light showers or a bit of rain that quickly blows over, we go ahead as planned. Some of my favourite photographs have been taken just after a shower, the light can be soft and the colours of the outdoor look richer. I’ll always work with the conditions to make sure you still get beautiful images, and sometimes we need to embrace the Irish weather for what it is!
Heavy Rain and Very Bad Weather
If the forecast shows heavy rain or truly awful weather, we’ll make the call to postpone your shoot. Your comfort and enjoyment are at the heart of what I do, and no one wants to be standing in a downpour trying to smile through soaked clothes. In these cases, I’ll work with you to find a new date that suits everyone, so you can look forward to the experience without worrying about the elements.
Working Around the Irish Weather
The reality is we can’t plan the Irish weather. What we can do is stay flexible, positive, and work around it. I’ll always keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session, and I’ll be in touch if we need to make any changes. Most of the time, though, things work out perfectly on the day, even if we do have to dodge a few showers along the way! I have run so many photoshoots where the forecast said RAIN! But then we ended up with perfect weather along the way.
Coverage Photographers
On rare occasions where I may be unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, I also have a plan in place, just in case you cannot move your photoshoot date. I’m fortunate to have an amazing network of photographers that support each other. I work with two wonderful coverage photographers. Both are talented professionals who share my approach and style, ensuring you’re always in safe hands, no matter what.
